What is Turkish Coffee?

Turkish coffee is a traditional method of preparing and serving coffee that is popular in Turkey and several other countries in the Middle East and the Balkans. Turkish people start a day with a cup of Turkish Coffee. Normally Turkish Coffee is a small cup of coffee, but somebody likes to drink double. Turkish Coffee is a traditional coffee made in turkey. Turkish Coffee is the perfect time to drink in the morning. Making Turkish Coffee, ground coffee (such as coffee powder), water, and sugar, those Ingredients boiling together.

How to Make Turkish Coffee?

If you want to make Turkish coffee you can make that coffee easily at home. Turkish Coffee is enjoyed in many countries and is known for its unique brewing method. Here’s a simple guide on how to make Turkish coffee at home.

Ingredients and Tools

  1. Finely Ground Coffee: You need very fine coffee, almost like powder.
  2. Water: Fresh normal water
  3. Sugar: Optional, but traditional Turkish coffee can be sweetened.
  4. Turkish Coffee Pot (Cezve), or Automatic Machine : A small, long-handled pot.
  5. Small Coffee Cups: These are smaller than regular coffee cups.

First Step (Measure the Water):

You can use the coffee cup to measure the water. For each cup of coffee, pour one cup of water into the coffee pot (cezve). If you use an automatic coffee machine no need to measure the water. Machines have water put, you can just fill the water put.

2nd Step (Add the Coffee):

For each cup of coffee, you can add two teaspoons of finely ground coffee into the Turkish coffee pot (cezve), or machine. 

3rd Step (Sweeten (Optional):

If you like sweet coffee, add sugar now. If you like a little sweet, add one teaspoon of sugar. For medium sweet, add two teaspoons and for more sweet, add three teaspoons sugar. If you are using Coffee put (cezve), Stir to dissolve the sugar or if you are using a Machine, no need to Stir to dissolve the sugar. 

4th Step (Heat the Coffee):

Place the coffee pot (cezve) on low heat. Stir the coffee mixture until it starts to warm up. Do not stir after warming up. if using a machine there is no need to do anything. Machine making processing automatically. 

5th Step (Watch for Foam):

As the coffee heats, foam will start to form on the surface. Just before it boils, the foam will rise. Remove the coffee pot (cezve) from the heat just before it boils over. If using the machine it will be turned off automatically.

Final Step (Pour the Foam with Coffee) :

pour some of the foam with coffee into each coffee cup.Pour the coffee into the cups slowly, so the foam stays on top. if using an automatic coffee machine it will be ready automatically into the cup.

Your Turkish Coffee is ready to drink. Let the coffee grounds settle at the bottom of the cup before drinking. Turkish coffee and small glass of water, Turkish people Like to drink this way.
